Bergen Encouraged To See Positive Policies That Will Benefit Portage-Lisgar
Winkler, MB- On Monday, the 2019 Federal Election Campaign reached its halfway point and Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer has continued to travel across Canada and announce policies that will help families, energy workers and small businesses get ahead.
“Repealing Trudeau’s tax increases on small businesses and reducing federal regulations by 25% will lessen the burden this Liberal Government has put on small business owners in Canada” stated Bergen. “These changes will have a real impact and will lower the cost of doing business”.
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer announced yesterday that a new Conservative Government will expand the eligibility criteria for the Disability Tax Credit, allowing 35,000 more Canadians to qualify and access savings of $2100 per year on average. Under the Conservative plan, a Canadian with Type 1 diabetes who currently spends an average of 10 hours per week managing their condition would qualify for the Disability Tax Credit.
“I know these changes are welcomed and will have a real impact” stated Bergen. “Conservatives are fully committed to supporting Canadians with disabilities and leaving more money in their pocket”.
Andrew Scheer also re-announced last week that a new Conservative Government will create a national energy corridor that will carry Canadian energy and resources from coast to coast, generating economic and social benefits for the entire country.
“Canadian energy workers have a champion in Andrew Scheer” stated Bergen. “Conservatives recognize the contributions of the energy sector and its workers to the success of this country and we will work hard to ensure energy projects are built in Canada”.
Andrew Scheer has previously announced a Universal Tax Cut that will save the average Canadian family over $850 per year on their income tax. Additional announcements have been made on implementing a Green Homes Tax Credit and measures to make home ownership more affordable in Canada.
